Art…Why do I paint and create…..

It is a place to heal

It is a place where I can play with colour

It is a place where I can create emotions

…..to put a smile on the viewers face

…..or a tear on the cheek

…..or maybe something to think about

Be it with charcoal or pen, oil or acrylic or mixed media.

I have always been a creative soul since childhood. I studied architecture for 2 years and then switched to fashion design which I did for many years. Both these taught me some aspects in art, such as perspective and movement.

Today I enjoy to create colourful and happy paintings in various mediums. I see my art as impressionistic freedom. However when I do portraits it is important to capture the soul of the subject through the eyes.

Working in an art shop gives me the opportunity to experiment with different mediums, which I enjoy thoroughly, but oil will always be my favourite!
