Keith Rudd

Diploma – Marketing Management

South African born Keith spent most of his youth in East London, (Eastern Cape) and Johannesburg. In his early twenties, Keith moved with his parents to Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) where he undertook a stint in the 10th Battalion Royal Rhodesia Regiment.

On his return to South Africa he furthered his military career, successfully fulfilling his dream of becoming a Parabat.

In 1988 Keith moved to CT to pursue his timber frame construction career. He became President of the TFBA, an esteemed position he held for 10 years.  His many and varied projects included public buildings such as the Scarborough Community Centre, Tintswalo Atlantic Boutique Hotel in Hout Bay and innumerable beautiful private homes throughout the Cape.

It was during Covid (when abject boredom overcame him) that Keith began graphite pencil drawing.  His lifelong mantra of “If it doesn’t look right, its not right”, plus his keen eye for detail soon honed his considerable skills and he has subsequently produced a plethora of designs and undertaken a few commissions.  His primary love is of moody, atmospheric scenes depicting moored yachts and beached rowing boats, although he has also drawn various wild-life.

Keith has been fortunate to sell many of his intricately detailed works of art.
